OK, call me strange but I have been watching the show 'O.C.' for the first time through on TV and I just saw the episode where Mischa Barton's character 'Marissa Cooper' dies. I felt like painting this after watching that.

This is a floral study that I did in preparation for a larger painting. Taking a picture of the painting was more difficult then creating the painting itself! Even this photo doesn't capture the full color of the yellow flowers and black to purple background.
